Mark — Head Coach

Mark started to train as a competitive swimmer at the age of 8 and by 12 years of age competed at the Swim Ontario Festivals (U13 Provincials) having met qualifying times in the maximum number of events permitted.

Mark then expanded his sport repertoire by adding the sports of cycling and running, training for both road and off-road cycling events as well as road and x-country running events. As a result, he is able to compete not just as a triathlete, but as a multisport and single sport athlete across all his sports.

In multisport & triathlon events: Mark qualified for 2019 Triathlon Worlds in Switzerland (in the sprint triathlon distance event), he qualified for 2019 Multisport Worlds in Spain (in the aquathlon event), and was the U19 Aquathlon 2018 Provincial Champion.

In single sport events: Mark raced as part of the Skratch Labs MTB team which took 1st at the 2019 Epic 8hr MTB Relay Race at Hardwood Hills, he swam to 1st in the U17 category (5th overall) in the Canaqua 5km Welland open water swim in 2019, and has raced annually in the Kelso MTB & Cyclocross Race Series held on the ski hills of Glen Eden in Milton, Ontario.
