2022 Canada Summer Games – Niagara

The road racing discipline of cycling had 3 different events during the Canada Summer Games (CSG): the individual time trial, the road race and the criterium. The races were held on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday offering athletes both a day in advance to pre-ride the course, study the layout, develop strategies with their coaches and their teams, and also provided a rest day in between events. The weather held out the entire week. These Games were Serena’s first time competing at the National level and she was racing against some of Canada’s top women’s cyclists. The athletes stayed during their stay on the campus of Brock University and were bused to the various venues for competition. Serena will enjoy on her last night the Closing Ceremonies which are to take place in Niagara Falls directly by the Horseshoe Falls at dusk providing for an amazing evening of celebration. What an amazing week of competition and an amazing week of hanging out with likeminded individuals who have dedicated themselves to a sport.
