Winter/Spring 2020 – Spots Available!

The SPORT1 level is appropriate for swimmers who have completed the jTOEST Learn2Swim program and Aimee is recommending that they are ready to progress to this level of training. As well, SPORT1 is for swimmers who have completed introductory swim sessions with other clubs, teams, or at City programs.

Unsure what training level is right for your swimmer? Feel free to contact to set up a swim assessment to ensure your swimmer is placed in the program appropriate for their skill level.

To train at the SPORT1 level, athletes need:

  • a training suit (jammers for boys, and one piece suits for girls),

  • fins specific to competitive swimming (see image), and well fitted goggles are critical.

The Lead Junior Learn2Swim Instructor is Coach Aimee

Aimee is an accomplished Masters Swimmer (2018 Ontario Age Group Champion in 100 & 200BR), an accomplished triathlete (Qualified for 2019 XTerra Triathlon Worlds, 2019 ITU Triathlon Worlds and 2019 ITU Multisport Worlds), and a Certified Lifesaving Society Lifeguard.  Having almost drowned as a child at a neighbourhood pool party, Aimee recalls what its like not to have the skills to be water safe. This is why teaching swimming is important to Aimee: she believes swimming is a life skill every child should have.

What better way for a child to learn to love swimming than with a mature individual, with an experienced athlete, with a life saving professional who understands how and why swimming skills truly are life skills. Click here to link to our Team webpage, to learn more about Aimee.

Sport1 Training Schedule

Fall/Winter 2019 Session (Term 1): Sep 6th – Jan 26th

Winter/Spring 2020 Session (Term 2): Jan 31st – Mid-June

SPORT1 level has one (1) pool session per week, pick a day: Fridays & Sundays are 45min sessions, Saturdays are 1 hour

Swimming 5:30 – 6:15 (FULL)
Swimming 6:15 – 7:00
Swimming 4:45 – 5:45
Swimming 4:45 – 5:30

Training runs weekly with the following exceptions:

  • FALL session : the week between Christmas and New Years are off (Dec 27, 28, 29); and in the

  • SPRING session : March break on but slightly modified TBA and Easter weekend (Fri & Sun) are off, March 27-29th weekend off, coaches travel to Masters swimming Provincials swim meet.

Refund Policy:  jTOEST does not provide refunds. With programs focused on quality, on learning, on athlete’s making significant progress, high athlete turnover rate would compromise coaching and the experience of all athletes. We ask that prior to registering that all commitments, calendars, etc… are reviewed to avoid joining when the risk is that the athlete will miss many sessions and/or the athlete will have to drop out. Once an athlete registers, they have a reserved spot in a lane for the entire duration of the program.
